Margin: Black, inhomogenously pigmented, 5-7 µm wide; external filaments absent. Exciple: Paraplectenchymatous (textura angularis); hyphae 5-10 µm wide, not carbonized, brown. Hymenium: Iodine reaction: Lugol’s negative, not hemiamyloid. Interascal Hyphae: Present, scarcely branched, not or scarcely anastomosed. Hypothecium: Brown (pale brown to brown).

Asci: Clavate (or saccate), not stipitate, 20-30-(35) µm long, 9-11 µm wide; tholus not amyloid; ocular chamber present; indistinct or narrow; dehiscence bitunicate; exoascus not amyloid.

Ascospores: Not uniseriate (distichously arranged), c. 8 per ascus, spores 8 per ascus, oblong-obtuse, (7.5)-8-9.3-10.5-(11) µm long, (3)-3.6-4-(4.5) µm wide, obtuse; septa present, transversally septate, 1-transversally septate; lumina apically enlarged, constricted at the centre; wall thin, laterally constricted where the septum meets the spore wall, becoming pigmented, hyaline or pale brown (when mature), in Lugol's Solution negative, wall not ornamented.

Conidiomata: Absent resp. not observed (not observed).
