Thallus: Branches subterete or compressed (strongly flattened). Upper Surface: Grey-blue, grey-green, or white; epruinose.

Ascocarps: Forming directly at the thallus margin, directly at the tip of the thallus parts. Hymenium: Fully exposed from the beginning (gymnocarpous); semi-upright or down-turned.

Ascospores: 5.5-9 µm long, 5.5-9 µm wide; wall hyaline to grey.

Conidia: Bacilliform; 4-6.5 µm long.

Secondary Metabolites: Sphaerophorin, stictic acid, placodiolic acid, isousnic acid, ascomatic acid, constictic acid, cryptostictic acid, and norstictic acid.
