Ecology: Bryophytic.

Thallus: Foliose, lobed; separate thallus parts 4 mm wide. Thallus Size and Differentiation: 100 cm in diameter; apex distinctly broader than average; curved upwards. Thallus Outline: Margin concolorous the thallus centre. Upper Surface: Brown or dark brown, smooth; eciliate; without hairs; not isidate; soralia laminal or peripheral, capitate or maculiform, soredia farinose or coarse; not lobulate. Lower Surface: Black, loosely attached attached; rhizines abundant, with projections.

Lower Cortex: Paraplectenchymatous, of anticlinal hyphae.

Ascocarps: Sparse, 4 mm in diam.. Margin: Smooth.

Ascospores: Physcia-type or Pachysporaria-type, (18)-21-27-(32) µm long, (8)-10-13-(16) µm wide.

Conidiomata: Sparse.
