Thallus: Foliose, lobed; separate thallus parts 2 mm wide. Thallus Size and Differentiation: 50 cm in diameter; apex distinctly broader than average; curved upwards. Thallus Outline: Margin concolorous the thallus centre. Upper Surface: Brown, smooth; eciliate; not isidate; not lobulate. Lower Surface: Black, loosely attached attached; rhizines abundant, with projections.

Ascospores: Physcia-type and Pachysporaria-type, (17)-19-23-(27) µm long, (7.5)-9-11-(12) µm wide.
