Biogeography: Southern hemispheric. Continent: Australasia. Checklist records: Australia (rare, endemic, only known from the type collection south of Nimmitabel, N.S.W.).
Ecology: Lichenized; saxicolous.
Thallus: Foliose (small foliose to subcrustose), not subdivided or subdivided into main parts, irregular, lobed; lobes linear (sublinear); plane; separate thallus parts.3-1 mm wide. Thallus Size and Differentiation: 3-6 cm in diameter. Upper Surface: Lime green, matt; fissurate (older lobes cracked; areolae present); fissures not particularly oriented oriented; immaculate; isidiate (sparse to moderately dense, syncorticate); isidia cylindrical, not ramified (mainly simple); not sorediate. Lower Surface: Present, pale brown (ivory to pale brown, often straw-yellow near lobe apices); attached by holdfasts (tightly adnate); rhizinate; rhizines moderately abundant, pale brown, not branched.
Medulla: White.
Reproduction Strategy: Only known as sterile, asexually reproducing form (not seen).
Conidiomata: Absent resp. not observed (not seen).
Secondary Metabolites: Present; constictic acid, norstictic acid (other secondary metabolites: cryptostictic acid (trace), rarely menegazziaic acid (trace)), stictic acid, and usnic acid, metabolite(s) of unresolved identity: absent or present.
