Ecology: Biotroph; lichenized; saxicolous; growing under conditions which are dry.

Thallus: Foliose, subdivided into main parts, lobed; lobes linear, imbricate; separate thallus parts.3-1-(1.5) mm wide. Upper Surface: Lime green, glossy (shiny), smooth; immaculate; isidiate; isidia ramified, sparse; not sorediate. Lower Surface: Present, black; rhizinate; rhizines sparse, black, not branched.

Medulla: White.

Reproduction Strategy: Only known as sterile, asexually reproducing form.

Conidia: Bifusiform; 6-7 µm long; .5 µm wide.

Secondary Metabolites: Present; throughout the thallus medulla, constictic acid, norstictic acid, salazinic acid (trace), and usnic acid.

Spot Tests: Cortex: KC – medulla: K + yellow changing to red, PD + deep yellow (intense).

UV-Fluorescence: Upper thallus surface – (negative).
