Margin: Excluded (sometimes), distinct. Disk: Plane to weakly convex, black. Exciple: Brown. Epithecium: Apical cells distinctly swollen; brown or hyaline (nearly). Hymenium: White or pale brown. Ascospores: c. 8 per ascus, 8-11 µm long, (4.5)-5-6.5-(7) µm wide, obtuse; septa absent; wall thin, not ornamented.
