Exciple: Pale brown or white. Epithecium: Apical cells distinctly swollen; brown. Hymenium: Pale brown or white. Hypothecium: Pale brown (hypothecial hyphae exhibit an I+ violet reaction) or white. Ascospores: c. 8 per ascus, (12)-14-17-(19) µm long, (5)-5.5-6.5-(7) µm wide, aciculate; septa absent; wall thin, not ornamented.
