Parathecium (proper excipulum): White. Amphithecium (thalline excipulum): Present; 10-15 µm wide. Epithecium: Apical cells slightly swollen; brown (light to medium). Hymenium: White or pale brown. Hypothecium: Pale brown or white. Hypothecial Extension: Absent.

Ascospores: c. 8 per ascus, 9-11-(12) µm long, (4)-5-7-(8) µm wide, obtuse; septa absent; wall thin, not ornamented.
