Upper Surface: Pale grey or lemon (citrine); special structures absent or present:; not isidate or isidiate.

Ascocarps: Not constricted, slightly constricted, or strongly constricted at the base, 1-3.5 mm in diam.. Margin: Prominent. Disk: Plane to weakly convex; brown; epruinose. Exciple: Brown or yellow; inspersed with crystals. Epithecium: Apical cells brown. Hymenium: 200-270 µm high.

Ascospores: 1–2 per ascus, 120-200 µm long, 30-45 µm wide; transversally septate; 5-7-transversally septate.

Secondary Metabolites: Hopane-6a,22-diol and usnic acid; provisional name(s): 'Megalospora unknown B'.
