Thallus: Indistinct. Upper Surface: Special structures absent.

Reproduction Strategy: With sexual (and possible asexual) stages. Ascocarps: Not emerging (when young), becoming adnate to soon sessile, not constricted at the base, .5 mm in diam.. Margin: Slightly flexuose, prominent. Disk: Black, forming occasionally, on few disks only. Exciple: Black or brown. Epithecium: Apical cells distinctly swollen, grey (olive-), hyaline, olive, or brownish yellow. Hymenium: White. Hypothecium: Black or brown.

Ascospores: Ellipsoid, oblong-obtuse, obovoid, or oblong, (10)-11-13-(15) µm long, (5)-6-8 µm wide, obtuse; septa absent; wall thin (0.5 - 1 µm), not ornamented (0.5 - 1 µm).
