Disk: Plane to weakly convex. Amphithecium (thalline excipulum): Photobiont abundant. Amphithecial Cortex: Present. Epithecium: Apical cells distinctly swollen. Hymenium: 70 µm high.

Ascospores: c. 8 per ascus, allantoid (slightly twisted), 15-19 µm long, 7-9 µm wide; septa absent or present (when older).
