Biogeography: Continent: Northern America (Florida, only known from the type collection).

Ecology: Biotroph; lichenized; corticolous.

Thallus: Indistinct, not subdivided parts, granular (sometimes almost) or areolate (primarily areolate); separate thallus parts thin. Thallus Outline: Irregular. Upper Surface: Special structures present: (goniocysts).

Reproduction Strategy: With sexual (and possible asexual) stages. Ascocarps: Apothecioid, forming independently from the host thallus or mycelium, .3-.4-.7 mm in diam.. Margin: Lecideine/biatorine, excluded, distinct. Disk: Plane to weakly convex (later), dark grey-brown or brownish yellow, epruinose. Exciple: Not carbonized. Parathecium (proper excipulum): White (downwards) or brownish yellow. Epithecium: Apical cells not swollen or slightly swollen, brownish yellow. Hymenium: 71-73-76 µm high; white. Hypothecium: Pale brownish yellow.

Ascospores: (30)-35-(43) µm long, (1.9)-2.2-(2.5) µm wide; septa present ((3-)5.1(-7) septa).

Secondary Metabolites: Present (Arceutina Yellow in proper exciple, hypothecium, and hymenium).
