Reproduction Strategy: Only known as sterile, asexually reproducing form or with sexual (and possible asexual) stages. Ascocarps: Apothecioid, orbicular or irregular, forming all across the thallus surface, soon sessile to stipitate. Margin: Indistinct; external filaments absent. Periphyses: Absent. Epithecium: Apical cells hyaline. Interascal Hyphae: Absent or present, distinctly branched, distinctly anastomosed.

Asci: Tholus thickened, amyloid, with amyloid tube or with amyloid cap; dehiscence lecanoralean.

Ascospores: c. 8 or more than 32 per ascus, ellipsoid, oblong, or filiform, 10-85 µm long, 1-11 µm wide, obtuse or aciculate; septa present; transversally septate, 1-11-transversally septate; wall thin or thick, distinctly differentiated into primary and secondary wall, not thickened at the septum, hyaline, in Lugol's Solution negative, wall not ornamented or ornamented.

Conidiomata: Absent resp. not observed or present.

Secondary Metabolites: Not detected.
