Reproduction Strategy: Only known as sterile, asexually reproducing form or with sexual (and possible asexual) stages. Ascocarps: Perithecioid, orbicular, forming all across the thallus surface, soon sessile. Margin: External filaments absent. Exciple: Brownish yellow. Periphyses: Absent. Hymenium: Mazaedioid. Hypothecium: Black or brown.

Asci: Tholus not thickened; dehiscence prototunicate.

Ascospores: 36-44 µm long, 19-26 µm wide, obtuse; septa present; transversally septate, 1-transversally septate; wall thin or thick, distinctly differentiated into primary and secondary wall, not thickened at the septum, dark brown, in Lugol's Solution negative, wall not ornamented.

Conidiomata: Absent resp. not observed or present.

Secondary Metabolites: Present, of the following substance class(es): pulvinic acid derivatives.
