Periphyses: Absent. Epithecium: Apical cells green. Hymenium: Iodine reaction: Lugol’s negative, not hemiamyloid. Interascal Hyphae: Present, scarcely branched, not or scarcely anastomosed. Hypothecium: White.

Asci: Tholus thickened, amyloid, with non-amyloid wide axial body and divergent amyloid flanks towards apex; ocular chamber indistinct; dehiscence lecanoralean; exoascus euamyloid, not hemiamyloid.

Ascospores: c. 8 per ascus, ellipsoid, oblong-obtuse, or reniform, (14)-15-20-(21) µm long, 6-8 µm wide; wall thick, distinctly differentiated into primary and secondary wall, not thickened at the septum, in Lugol's Solution negative, wall not ornamented.

Conidiomata: Absent resp. not observed or present; pycnidial.

Conidiogeneous Cells: Apical. Conidia: Bacilliform or filiform.

Secondary Metabolites: Present, of the following substance class(es): ß-orcinol depsides and xanthones.
