Interascal Hyphae: Present, scarcely branched, not or scarcely anastomosed.

Asci: Tholus thickened, amyloid, with amyloid tube; dehiscence lecanoralean.

Ascospores: 1–2 to c. 8 per ascus, ellipsoid, fusiform, or oblong, 30-165 µm long, 10-60 µm wide, obtuse; septa present; transversally septate, 1-5-transversally septate; wall not thickened at the septum, laterally constricted where the septum meets the spore wall, dark brown, in Lugol's Solution negative, wall ornamented.

Conidiomata: Absent resp. not observed or present.

Secondary Metabolites: Not detected or present, of the following substance class(es): (anthra-)quinones.
