Thallus: Crustose, not subdivided parts, granular or rimose. Upper Surface: White; special structures absent. Lower Surface: Attached by the whole lower surface; special structures absent.

Reproduction Strategy: Only known as sterile, asexually reproducing form or with sexual (and possible asexual) stages. Ascocarps: Apothecioid, orbicular or linear, forming all across the thallus surface, soon sessile. Margin: Prominent; external filaments absent. Exciple: Black or brown. Hymenium: Mazaedioid. Interascal Hyphae: Present, scarcely branched, not or scarcely anastomosed.

Asci: Tholus not thickened; dehiscence prototunicate.

Ascospores: 11-15 µm long, 6-9.5 µm wide, obtuse; septa present; transversally septate or both transversally and longitudinally, 2-3-transversally septate; wall thin, not thickened at the septum, dark brown, in Lugol's Solution negative, wall not ornamented or ornamented.

Conidiomata: Absent resp. not observed or present.

Secondary Metabolites: Not detected or present, of the following substance class(es): ß-orcinol depsidones.
