Periphyses: Absent. Epithecium: Apical cells green or olive. Hymenium: Iodine reaction: Lugol’s negative, not hemiamyloid. Interascal Hyphae: Present, scarcely branched, not or scarcely anastomosed. Hypothecium: White, brownish yellow, or brown.

Asci: Tholus not thickened or thickened, not amyloid; dehiscence lecanoralean or unitunicate; exoascus euamyloid, not hemiamyloid.

Ascospores: c. 8 per ascus, globose, ellipsoid, broadly ellipsoid, or oblong, 6-20 µm long, 5-14.5 µm wide, obtuse; septa absent; wall thin or thick, distinctly differentiated into primary and secondary wall, not thickened at the septum, hyaline, in Lugol's Solution negative, wall not ornamented.

Conidiomata: Absent resp. not observed or present; pycnidial; immersed, formed all accross the thallus surface.

Conidiogeneous Cells: Apical. Conidia: Bacilliform.

Secondary Metabolites: Not detected or present, of the following substance class(es): orcinol depsides.
