Margin: External filaments absent. Exciple: Black or brown. Periphyses: Absent. Hymenium: Iodine reaction: Lugol’s positive, not hemiamyloid. Interascal Hyphae: Present, scarcely branched to distinctly branched, not or scarcely anastomosed to distinctly anastomosed. Hypothecium: Brown.

Asci: Tholus thickened, not amyloid; dehiscence bitunicate; exoascus euamyloid, not hemiamyloid.

Ascospores: More than 32 per ascus, ellipsoid, broadly ellipsoid, or globose, 2-11 µm long, 2-6.5 µm wide, obtuse; septa absent; wall thin or thick, distinctly differentiated into primary and secondary wall, not thickened at the septum, dark brown, in Lugol's Solution negative, wall not ornamented.

Conidiomata: Absent resp. not observed or present.

Secondary Metabolites: Not detected.
