Thallus: Foliose, crustose, or fruticose, not subdivided parts, subfruticose, lobed. Thallus Outline: Soon disappearing. Upper Surface: Grey or olive; special structures absent. Lower Surface: Attached by the whole lower surface; special structures absent or present:; not pseudocyphellate; not cyphellate; not rhizinate; without thalloconidia thalloconidia; not cavernulate; not tomentose or tomentose.

Reproduction Strategy: Only known as sterile, asexually reproducing form or with sexual (and possible asexual) stages. Ascocarps: Apothecioid, orbicular, forming all across the thallus surface or directly at the thallus margin, soon sessile. Margin: Distinct to prominent; external filaments absent. Exciple: White. Periphyses: Absent. Epithecium: Apical cells brown. Interascal Hyphae: Present, scarcely branched, not or scarcely anastomosed. Hypothecium: White.

Asci: Dehiscence lecanoralean.

Ascospores: c. 8 per ascus, ellipsoid or fusiform, 9-31 µm long, 6.5-9.5 µm wide, obtuse or aciculate; septa absent; wall thick, distinctly differentiated into primary and secondary wall, not thickened at the septum, hyaline, in Lugol's Solution negative, wall not ornamented.

Conidiomata: Absent resp. not observed or present; pycnidial; sessile, formed all accross the thallus surface.

Conidiogeneous Cells: Apical or intercalar. Conidia: Bacilliform or bifusiform.

Secondary Metabolites: Not detected.
