Ascocarps: Apothecioid, orbicular, forming all across the thallus surface, soon sessile. Margin: Prominent; external filaments absent. Exciple: White or brownish yellow. Periphyses: Absent. Interascal Hyphae: Present, scarcely branched, not or scarcely anastomosed.
Asci: Tholus thickened, amyloid, with amyloid tube; dehiscence lecanoralean.
Ascospores: c. 8 per ascus, oblong or fusiform, 22-32 µm long, 5-6 µm wide, obtuse; septa present; transversally septate or both transversally and longitudinally, 7-10-transversally septate; wall thin, not thickened at the septum, hyaline, in Lugol's Solution negative, wall not ornamented.
