Lower Surface: Attached by the whole lower surface; special structures absent.

Reproduction Strategy: With sexual (and possible asexual) stages. Ascocarps: Apothecioid, linear, forming all across the thallus surface, not emerging. Margin: Indistinct; external filaments absent. Exciple: Brownish yellow. Periphyses: Absent. Hymenium: Iodine reaction: Lugol’s negative, not hemiamyloid. Interascal Hyphae: Present, scarcely branched, not or scarcely anastomosed. Hypothecium: Brownish yellow.

Asci: Tholus not thickened or thickened, not amyloid; ocular chamber indistinct; exoascus not amyloid, not hemiamyloid.

Ascospores: c. 8 per ascus, ellipsoid, 12-13 µm long, 4-5 µm wide, obtuse; septa present; transversally septate, 3-transversally septate, formed by the proper spore wall; wall thin, not thickened at the septum, pale brown, in Lugol's Solution negative, wall not ornamented.

Conidiomata: Absent resp. not observed or present; pycnidial; stipitate, formed all accross the thallus surface.

Conidia: Bacilliform.

Secondary Metabolites: Present, of the following substance class(es): ß-orcinol depsidones.
