Hymenium: Iodine reaction: Lugol’s negative, not hemiamyloid. Interascal Hyphae: Present, scarcely branched, not or scarcely anastomosed. Hypothecium: White.

Asci: Tholus thickened, not amyloid or amyloid, with amyloid tube; dehiscence unitunicate; exoascus not amyloid, not hemiamyloid.

Ascospores: c. 8 per ascus, ellipsoid, cylindrical, oblong-obtuse, ovoid, clavate, oblong, or curved, 5-12 µm long, 1-4 µm wide, obtuse or aciculate; septa absent; wall thin, not thickened at the septum, laterally constricted where the septum meets the spore wall, hyaline, in Lugol's Solution negative, wall not ornamented.

Conidiomata: Absent resp. not observed or present.
