Ascospores: c. 4 to c. 8 per ascus, fusiform, 30-35 µm long, 4.5-6 µm wide, aciculate; septa present; transversally septate, 3-transversally septate, formed by the proper spore wall; wall thick, distinctly differentiated into primary and secondary wall, not thickened at the septum, hyaline or pale brown, in Lugol's Solution negative, wall not ornamented or ornamented.
