Epithecium: Apical cells brown. Hymenium: Iodine reaction: Lugol’s positive. Interascal Hyphae: Present, scarcely branched, not or scarcely anastomosed. Hypothecium: Brownish yellow.

Asci: Tholus thickened, amyloid; dehiscence lecanoralean; exoascus euamyloid.

Ascospores: c. 8 per ascus, ellipsoid, fusiform, ovoid, or oblong, 11-25 µm long, 4-11 µm wide, obtuse or aciculate; septa absent; wall thin, not thickened at the septum, hyaline, in Lugol's Solution negative, wall not ornamented.

Conidiomata: Absent resp. not observed or present; pycnidial; immersed or sessile, formed all accross the thallus surface.

Conidia: Bacilliform.

Secondary Metabolites: Not detected.
