Periphyses: Absent or rarely present. Hymenium: Iodine reaction: Lugol’s negative, not hemiamyloid. Interascal Hyphae: Absent. Hypothecium: Pale brown or brownish yellow.

Asci: Tholus not thickened, not amyloid; dehiscence unitunicate; exoascus not amyloid, not hemiamyloid.

Ascospores: c. 4 or c. 8 per ascus, ellipsoid, clavate, or fusiform, 9-17-(21) µm long, 3-7 µm wide, aciculate; septa absent; wall thin, not thickened at the septum, hyaline, in Lugol's Solution negative, wall not ornamented.

Conidiomata: Absent resp. not observed or present.

Secondary Metabolites: Not detected.
