Ascospores: 12 to c. 4 per ascus, ellipsoid or fusiform, 47-70 µm long, 12-21 µm wide, obtuse or aciculate; septa present; transversally septate, 1-transversally septate, formed by the endospore wall layer; wall thin or thick, distinctly differentiated into primary and secondary wall, not thickened at the septum, laterally constricted where the septum meets the spore wall, hyaline, in Lugol's Solution negative, wall not ornamented.
