Ascocarps: Apothecioid, orbicular, forming all across the thallus surface, soon sessile to substipitate. Margin: Prominent; external filaments absent. Exciple: Black or brown. Periphyses: Absent. Interascal Hyphae: Present, scarcely branched, not or scarcely anastomosed.

Asci: Dehiscence lecanoralean.

Ascospores: 1–2 per ascus, ellipsoid, 65-115 µm long, 30-45 µm wide, obtuse; septa present; both transversally and longitudinally; wall thin, not thickened at the septum, hyaline, in Lugol's Solution negative, wall not ornamented.

Conidiomata: Absent resp. not observed or present.

Secondary Metabolites: Not detected.
