Periphyses: Absent. Epithecium: Apical cells brown. Hymenium: Iodine reaction: Lugol’s negative. Interascal Hyphae: Present, scarcely branched, not or scarcely anastomosed. Hypothecium: Brown or brownish yellow.

Asci: Tholus thickened, amyloid, with amyloid cap; dehiscence lecanoralean.

Ascospores: c. 8 per ascus, ellipsoid, 6-23 µm long, 6-12 µm wide, obtuse; septa absent; wall thick, distinctly differentiated into primary and secondary wall, not thickened at the septum, hyaline, in Lugol's Solution negative, wall not ornamented or ornamented.

Conidiomata: Absent resp. not observed or present; pycnidial; immersed or stipitate, formed all accross the thallus surface or along the thallus periphery.

Conidiogeneous Cells: Apical or intercalar. Conidia: Bacilliform.

Secondary Metabolites: Not detected or present, of the following substance class(es): (tri-)terpenoids.
