Wall: Not carbonized, not fused. Margin: Prominent; external filaments present. Exciple: Brown or brownish yellow. Periphyses: Absent. Hymenium: Iodine reaction: Lugol’s negative, not hemiamyloid. Interascal Hyphae: Absent. Hypothecium: Brown, white, or brownish yellow.

Asci: Tholus thickened, not amyloid; ocular chamber indistinct; dehiscence bitunicate; exoascus not amyloid, not hemiamyloid.

Ascospores: c. 8 per ascus, ellipsoid, ovoid, or clavate, 6-11 µm long, 2-4 µm wide, obtuse; septa present; transversally septate, 1-transversally septate, formed by the proper spore wall; wall thick, distinctly differentiated into primary and secondary wall, not thickened at the septum, hyaline, in Lugol's Solution negative, wall not ornamented.

Conidiomata: Present or absent resp. not observed; pycnidial; sessile.

Conidiogeneous Cells: Apical. Conidia: Bacilliform.

Secondary Metabolites: Not detected.
