Ascocarps: Apothecioid, orbicular or lingulate, forming directly at the thallus margin, not emerging, becoming adnate to substipitate. Margin: Indistinct to prominent; external filaments absent. Exciple: White. Periphyses: Absent. Interascal Hyphae: Present, scarcely branched, not or scarcely anastomosed. Hypothecium: White.

Asci: Tholus thickened, amyloid, with amyloid tube; dehiscence lecanoralean.

Ascospores: c. 8 per ascus, fusiform, obtuse or aciculate; septa present; transversally septate; wall thin, not thickened at the septum, hyaline, in Lugol's Solution negative, wall not ornamented.

Conidiomata: Absent resp. not observed or present.

Secondary Metabolites: Not detected or present, of the following substance class(es): orcinol depsides.
