Ascospores: c. 8 per ascus, ellipsoid, 12.5-19.5 µm long, 6.5-9.5 µm wide, obtuse; septa absent or rarely present; transversally septate, 0-1-transversally septate; wall thin, not thickened at the septum, not constricted where the septum meets the spore wall, hyaline, in Lugol's Solution negative, wall not ornamented.
