Hymenium: Iodine reaction: Lugol’s negative, not hemiamyloid. Interascal Hyphae: Present, scarcely branched, not or scarcely anastomosed. Hypothecium: Brown or brownish yellow.

Asci: Tholus thickened, not amyloid; ocular chamber indistinct; exoascus not amyloid, not hemiamyloid.

Ascospores: c. 8 per ascus, clavate, cylindrical, oblong-obtuse, ovoid, or fusiform, 15-76 µm long, 2-15 µm wide, obtuse or aciculate; septa present; transversally septate, 1-transversally septate; wall thin, not thickened at the septum, laterally constricted where the septum meets the spore wall, hyaline or pale brown, in Lugol's Solution negative, wall not ornamented.

Conidiomata: Absent resp. not observed or present; pycnidial; sessile.

Conidiogeneous Cells: Apical. Conidia: Globose or reniform.
