Thallus: Crustose, not subdivided parts, subfruticose. Upper Surface: Grey or white; special structures absent. Lower Surface: Attached by the whole lower surface; special structures absent.

Reproduction Strategy: Only known as sterile, asexually reproducing form or with sexual (and possible asexual) stages. Ascocarps: Apothecioid, orbicular, lingulate, linear, or irregular, forming all across the thallus surface, soon sessile to substipitate. Margin: Distinct to prominent; external filaments absent. Exciple: Black or brown. Epithecium: Apical cells black or brown. Interascal Hyphae: Present, distinctly branched, distinctly anastomosed. Hypothecium: Brown.

Asci: Tholus thickened, not amyloid; dehiscence bitunicate.

Ascospores: c. 8 per ascus, fusiform, 22-30 µm long, 4-5 µm wide; septa present; transversally septate, (1)-3-transversally septate; wall thin, not thickened at the septum, hyaline or pale brown, in Lugol's Solution negative, wall not ornamented.

Conidiomata: Absent resp. not observed or present; pycnidial; immersed, formed all accross the thallus surface.

Conidia: Filiform.

Secondary Metabolites: Present, of the following substance class(es): orcinol depsides.
