Interascal Hyphae: Present, scarcely branched, not or scarcely anastomosed. Hypothecium: Brown or brownish yellow.
Asci: Tholus not thickened; dehiscence prototunicate.
Ascospores: c. 8 per ascus, ellipsoid or globose, 4-8 µm long, 4-8 µm wide, obtuse; septa absent; wall thin, not thickened at the septum, pale brown or dark brown, in Lugol's Solution negative, wall not ornamented or ornamented.
Conidiomata: Absent resp. not observed or present.
