Reproduction Strategy: Only known as sterile, asexually reproducing form or with sexual (and possible asexual) stages. Ascocarps: Apothecioid, orbicular, forming all across the thallus surface, not emerging, becoming adnate. Margin: Indistinct to distinct; external filaments absent. Exciple: Grey or white. Periphyses: Absent. Epithecium: Apical cells brown, green, grey, hyaline, or brownish yellow. Interascal Hyphae: Present, distinctly branched, not or scarcely anastomosed to distinctly anastomosed. Hypothecium: White.

Asci: Tholus thickened, amyloid, with amyloid cap or tube and flanks; dehiscence lecanoralean.

Ascospores: c. 8 per ascus, ellipsoid or broadly ellipsoid, (8)-9.4-12.7-(16) µm long, (4.5)-4.8-6.5-(7.5) µm wide, obtuse; septa absent; wall thick, distinctly differentiated into primary and secondary wall, not thickened at the septum, hyaline, in Lugol's Solution positive, wall not ornamented.

Conidiomata: Absent resp. not observed or present; pycnidial; immersed, formed all accross the thallus surface.

Conidiogeneous Cells: Apical. Conidia: Bacilliform.

Secondary Metabolites: Present, of the following substance class(es): orcinol depsides.
