Hymenium: Mazaedioid. Interascal Hyphae: Present, scarcely branched, not or scarcely anastomosed. Hypothecium: Black.
Asci: Tholus not thickened; dehiscence prototunicate.
Ascospores: c. 8 per ascus, ellipsoid or broadly ellipsoid, 32-35 µm long, 13-16 µm wide, obtuse; septa present; transversally septate, 1-transversally septate; wall thin or thick, distinctly differentiated into primary and secondary wall, not thickened at the septum, dark brown, in Lugol's Solution negative, wall not ornamented.
Conidiomata: Absent resp. not observed or present; pycnidial; immersed, formed all accross the thallus surface.
Conidiogeneous Cells: Apical or intercalar. Conidia: Bacilliform.
