Ascocarps: Apothecioid, orbicular, forming all across the thallus surface, not emerging, becoming adnate to soon sessile. Margin: Distinct to prominent. Exciple: White. Periphyses: Absent. Epithecium: Apical cells hyaline. Interascal Hyphae: Present, scarcely branched, not or scarcely anastomosed. Hypothecium: White.

Asci: Tholus not thickened or thickened, not amyloid.

Ascospores: c. 8 per ascus, ellipsoid, filiform, or fusiform, 8-50 µm long, 1.5-6.5 µm wide, obtuse or aciculate; septa present; transversally septate, 1-9-transversally septate; wall thin, not thickened at the septum, hyaline, in Lugol's Solution negative, wall not ornamented.

Conidiomata: Absent resp. not observed or present.

Secondary Metabolites: Not detected.
