Reproduction Strategy: With sexual (and possible asexual) stages. Ascocarps: Cleistothecioid, orbicular, forming independently from the host thallus or mycelium, scattered or very in loose groups, .065-.09 mm in diam.. Margin: External filaments present; mycelioid (rather coarse, length variable), .25-1.5-(2) µm long, 4-9 µm in diameter, pigmented (brown throughout or paler above), few, growing all across the lower half of the ascocarp, smooth or faintly rough, thin, not ramified or ramified, irregularly not branched, septate.

Asci: 1 asci per ascocarp, sub-globose, not stipitate, 50-70 µm long, 50-60 µm wide; dehiscence unitunicate.

Ascospores: c. 8 per ascus, spores 8 per ascus, subglobose, 14-19 µm long, 11-16 µm wide; septa absent; wall thin, remaining hyaline, hyaline, not ornamented.

Conidiophores: Oidium-type.
