Ecology: Biotroph; phytopathogenic; growing on leaves (mycelium thin). Host or Phorophyte Taxonomy: Cornaceae.

Reproduction Strategy: With sexual (and possible asexual) stages (few). Ascocarps: Cleistothecioid, orbicular, forming independently from the host thallus or mycelium, .073-.102 mm in diam.. Margin: External filaments present; 1.5-2 µm long, hyaline (upwards, yellowish in the lower half) or pigmented, 8-12 per mm², growing between the lower and upper hald of the ascocarp, not ramified, dichotomously branched.

Asci: 1 asci per ascocarp, sub-globose or broadly clavate, indistinctly stipitate, 53-102 µm long, 46-76 µm wide; dehiscence unitunicate.

Ascospores: c. 8 per ascus, spores 6-8 per ascus, ellipsoid, 20-26 µm long, 12-13 µm wide; septa absent; wall thin, remaining hyaline, hyaline, not ornamented.
