Reproduction Strategy: With sexual (and possible asexual) stages. Ascocarps: Cleistothecioid, orbicular, forming independently from the host thallus or mycelium, scattered or gregarious, .2-.4 mm in diam.. Margin: External filaments present (somewhat tapering towards the tip); mycelioid or setiform, uncinate (closely) or circinate, .25-.75 µm long, 4-8 µm in diameter, hyaline, very numerous (densely crowded around the fruit body, also somewhat in the upper half), 100-300 per mm², smooth, thin or thick (often later), not ramified, aseptate.

Asci: 20-60 asci per ascocarp, distinctly stipitate, (60)-70-95-(110) µm long, (20)-25-35-(40) µm wide; dehiscence unitunicate (numerous).

Ascospores: 1–2 or c. 4 per ascus, spores (2)-3-4 per ascus, ellipsoid or ovoid, 25-40 µm long, 12-25 µm wide; septa absent.

Conidiomata: Present; hyphomycetous.

Conidiophores: Streptopodium-type; not branched; basal cells 120-240 µm long, 5-7.5 µm wide. Conidium Formation: Conidiogenous cells single. Conidia: Ellipsoid or clavate (to fusiform; primary conidia more or less lanceolate, pointed apically); macroconidial (primary and secondary conidia), not branched, 35-75 µm long, 14-24 µm wide; aseptate.
