Ecology: Biotroph; phytopathogenic; growing on leaves, hypophyllous (mostly) or amphigenous. Host or Phorophyte Taxonomy: Pteroceltis sp.; Pteroceltis, Ulmaceae.

Reproduction Strategy: With sexual (and possible asexual) stages. Ascocarps: Cleistothecioid, orbicular, forming independently from the host thallus or mycelium, scattered, .135-.15-.177 mm in diam.. Margin: External filaments present (ca. 239-343 µm in length); not interlaced, straight, 1.5-2 µm long, few, 5-9 per mm², growing between the lower and upper hald of the ascocarp, stiff and straight, not ramified.

Asci: 10-18 asci per ascocarp, distinctly stipitate, 44-78 µm long, 19-35 µm wide; dehiscence unitunicate.

Ascospores: 1–2 per ascus, spores 2 per ascus, ellipsoid or ovoid, 27-35 µm long, 17-20 µm wide; septa absent.
