Reproduction Strategy: With sexual (and possible asexual) stages. Ascocarps: Cleistothecioid, orbicular, forming independently from the host thallus or mycelium, scattered, .275-.4 mm in diam.. Margin: External filaments present (ca. 220-450 µm in length, basal swelling 35-50 µm diam.); not interlaced, straight, 1 µm long, numerous, 15-20 per mm², stiff and straight, not ramified.

Asci: 40-50 asci per ascocarp, distinctly stipitate, 80-95 µm long, 27.5-37.5 µm wide; dehiscence unitunicate (numerous).

Ascospores: 1–2 to c. 4 per ascus, spores 2-3 per ascus, ellipsoid, 35-40 µm long, 17.5-25 µm wide; septa absent.

Conidiomata: Present; hyphomycetous.

Conidiophores: Ovulariopsis-type; not branched. Conidium Formation: Conidiogenous cells single. Conidia: Ellipsoid (oblong-) or clavate (rarely sub-; usually tapering slightly ro rounded ends); macroconidial, not branched, 62.5-80 µm long, 17.5-22.5 µm wide; aseptate.
