Reproduction Strategy: With sexual (and possible asexual) stages. Ascocarps: Cleistothecioid, orbicular (at first globose, later depressed), forming independently from the host thallus or mycelium, scattered, .25-.3 mm in diam.. Margin: External filaments present (bulbous base ca. 50-70 µm wide; appendages awl-shaped or blunt, sometimes poorly developed); not interlaced, straight, up to 1-(1.5) µm long, few, 6-12 per mm², growing between the lower and upper hald of the ascocarp, stiff and straight, not ramified.

Asci: Up to 30 asci per ascocarp, narrowly clavate, distinctly stipitate, 70-115 µm long, 25-35 µm wide; dehiscence unitunicate.

Ascospores: 1–2 per ascus, spores 2 per ascus, ellipsoid or ovoid, 24-50 µm long, 18-24 µm wide; septa absent.

Conidiomata: Present; hyphomycetous.

Conidiophores: Ovulariopsis-type; not branched. Conidium Formation: Conidiogenous cells single. Conidia: Clavate (slightly rhomboid); macroconidial (germ tubes arising from a side of the spore, upper or lower part, simple or irregularly branched, appressoria unlobed), not branched, 53.2-78.4 µm long, 16.8-19.6 µm wide; aseptate.
