Reproduction Strategy: With sexual (and possible asexual) stages (penicillate cells ca. 25-50 µm long). Ascocarps: Cleistothecioid, orbicular, forming independently from the host thallus or mycelium, scattered, (.23)-.28-.4-(.435) mm in diam.. Margin: External filaments present (basal swelling large, ca. 50-70 µm diam.); not interlaced, straight (with a bulbous base, basal swelling large, ca 50-70 µm diam.), 1-1.5 µm long, numerous, (10)-15-24 per mm², stiff and straight, not ramified, septate.

Asci: At least 20 asci per ascocarp, distinctly stipitate, 65-90 µm long, 20-30 µm wide; dehiscence unitunicate (very numerous).

Conidiomata: Present; hyphomycetous.

Conidiophores: Ovulariopsis-type; not branched. Conidium Formation: Conidiogenous cells single. Conidia: Ellipsoid, fusiform, filiform (non-papillate), or sub-clavate; macroconidial, not branched, 50-102 µm long, 22-35 µm wide; aseptate.
