Margin: External filaments present; mycelioid, straight (apicem versus angustatae, prope basim leviter dilatatae), 150-500 µm long, 2.5-8.5 µm in diameter, hyaline or pigmented (basim versus sub-brunneae), numerous, 20-50 per mm², growing at the ascocarp base, thin, not ramified or ramified, irregular (1-2 times), aseptate or septate (0-8-septatae).
Asci: (6)-8-18 asci per ascocarp, indistinctly stipitate, 45-68 µm long, 17-30 µm wide; dehiscence unitunicate (ascosporae non-maturae in foliis vivis in annum).
Conidiomata: Absent resp. not observed.
