Margin: External filaments present; mycelioid (shorter than the diameter of the fruit boda), straight, 4-10 µm in diameter, hyaline and pigmented, numerous, growing all across the lower half of the ascocarp, thin, not ramified and ramified, aseptate and septate.
Asci: 5-15 asci per ascocarp, indistinctly stipitate, 60-100 µm long, 35-50 µm wide; dehiscence unitunicate (saccate).
Ascospores: 12 per ascus, spores 2 per ascus, broadly ellipsoid (ends broadly rounded) or ovoid, 25-40 µm long, 14-25 µm wide; septa absent; wall hyaline.
Conidiomata: Present; hyphomycetous.
Conidiophores: Oidiopsis-type (conidiophores emerging through stomata, erect, filiform, flexuous, long, pluriseptate, hyaline, thin-walled, smooth or almost so); not branched; conidiophore cells up to 250 µm long, basal cells 6-10 µm wide. Conidium Formation: Conidiogenous cells single. Conidia: Broadly ellipsoid (primary conidia), obovoid, doliiform, cylindrical, or clavate; macroconidial (dimorphic, primary and secondary conidia, primary conidia broadly ellipsoid-obovoid, 40-50 × 16-22 µm, length/width ratio 2,2-2,7, apex broadly rounded, base subtruncate, secondary conidia subcylindrical, rarely subclavate-doliiform, (35-)40-55(-60) × 14-20 µm, length/width ratio 2,2-3,7 µm, ends rounded to subtruncate), not branched, rounded at one end or truncate at one end (base subtruncate (primary conidia)), 40-50 µm long, 16-22 µm wide; aseptate; cell wall hyaline.
