Reproduction Strategy: With sexual (and possible asexual) stages. Ascocarps: Cleistothecioid, orbicular, forming independently from the host thallus or mycelium, scattered, .09-.13 mm in diam.. Margin: External filaments present; interlaced with each other, mycelioid, straight, .5-1.5 µm long, 4-11 µm in diameter, hyaline or pigmented (yellowish to brown, at least below), numerous, growing all across the lower half of the ascocarp, smooth, thin, not ramified, septate.

Asci: 8-15 asci per ascocarp, distinctly stipitate, 60-80 µm long, (25)-30-40 µm wide; dehiscence unitunicate.

Ascospores: 1–2 per ascus, spores 2 per ascus, ellipsoid or ovoid, 20-30 µm long, 10-17 µm wide; septa absent.

Conidiomata: Present; hyphomycetous.

Conidiophores: Euoidium-type; not branched. Conidium Formation: Conidiogenous cells in chains. Conidia: Ellipsoid, ovoid, doliiform, or cylindrical; macroconidial, not branched, 25-40 µm long, 14-20 µm wide; aseptate.
