Margin: External filaments present (straight to curved); recurved (tips of the ultimate branchlets recurved when mature), (1.4)-1.9-2.4-(3.6) µm long, 6.3-8.8 µm in diameter, hyaline or pigmented (sometimes brown at the very base), few, (3)-4-9-(18) per mm², growing between the lower and upper hald of the ascocarp, stiff and straight (to curved), smooth or rough, ramified, dichotomously branched ((2-)4-5 times, branchings fairly regular, primary branches mostly elongated, more or less horizontally spread, tips recurved when mature), aseptate or septate (seldom a single septum at the base).
Asci: 1-4 asci per ascocarp, not stipitate (subsessile) or indistinctly stipitate, 49-69 µm long, 39-54 µm wide; dehiscence unitunicate.
Ascospores: c. 4 to c. 8 per ascus, spores 4-5-7 per ascus, ellipsoid or ovoid, 16-26 µm long, 10-13 µm wide; septa absent.
